This release marks the launch of our comprehensive A11yInspect Docs, now accessible directly from the extension. The documentation serves as a complete guide to A11yInspect, explaining what the product is, where it fits in your accessibility workflow, and how it helps teams ensure inclusive digital experiences.

The guide covers everything from understanding accessibility concepts and testing with A11yInspect to exploring detailed feature explanations, browser-specific usage instructions, and examples within DevTools. It also includes best practices, FAQs, and troubleshooting tips to help users maximize efficiency and accuracy while testing web accessibility.

Enhancements​

Updated Flows​

Improvements to flow accuracy and validation include:

  • Image & SVG Image Link – Now validates keywords related to the image type mentioned in the accessible name for better identification of icons and SVG elements.
  • Inappropriate Nesting – Enhanced detection to verify if nested or parent elements contain:
    • role="none"
    • role="presentation"
    • aria-hidden="true"
    • tabindex="-1"
    • display: none (CSS property)
  • Custom Image Link – Improved support for appropriate attribute handling and accuracy.
